Andy Serkis, probably best known for his roles in the Lord of the Rings trilogy as the CGI character of Gollum, has always been a consummate artist. Born in West London, England, he started acting in High School and fell in love with it ever since. Because of his superb performance in Lord of the Rings, his acting career took off, and recently landed another big CGI roll as Caesar the ape in the new Rise of the Planet of the Apes movie. He is also in the Steven Spielberg directed animation, The Adventures of Tin Tin.
His net worth, including the two Hobbit movies he is currently filming is now $28 Million. There are even rumors that his CG character, Gollum, will receive Oscar nods for the new Hobbit movies. This would be the first computer generated character to receive any type of Oscar nomination.
