Robin Roberts was born in Pass Christian, Mississippi and has an estimated net worth of $14 million dollars. Robin Roberts was the salutatorian of her high school class, and subsequently graduated cum laude from Southeastern Louisiana University with a degree in communication, in the early 80s. She was also a star basketball player for the school while she was there. 
She began her broadcasting career as a sports anchor in Mississippi, working for multiple channels between 1983 and 1986, before moving to larger stations in Nashville, Tennessee, and then Atlanta, Georgia. She joined the ESPN sportscasting team in 1990, and also served as a reporter for “Good Morning America” on ABC. She was subsequently promoted to co-anchor for “Good Morning America” in 2005. She hosted the Academy Awards pre-show twice, and has received multiple awards for her broadcasting work, including three Emmys. Most recently, she was inducted into the WNBA Hall of Fame for her contribution to women’s basketball through her continued broadcasting coverage.
