Doug Christie, originally from Seattle, Washington is a now retired Basketball player with a Net Worth of $45 Million. Being selected 17th overal in the 1992 NBA draft, he started his career in the NBA being put mostly on the sidelines. While playing for the SuperSonics, Lakers and Knicks he was used increasingly sparingly.
This was unfortunate, as he turned out to be one of the best defenders. His talent was finally realized once being traded to the Sacramento Kings, where he constantly was a starting player, and his salary reflected his talent. But, after several years he received an ankle injury that marred his ability to continue playing. After being traded to the Dallas Mavericks, his career was pretty much over, with his lingering ankle injury.
