Mike Huckabee was born in Hope, Arkansas and has an estimated net worth of $5 million dollars. Mike Huckabee was head of multiple political organizations while in high school, and after graduating from Ouachita Baptist University with a degree in Religion, he chose to attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. However, he left the school after one year to pursue a career in Christian broadcasting. He served as the president of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention from the late 80s into the early 90s. 
He made an unsuccessful bid for lieutenant governor of Arkansas in 1992, but won the special election a year later. He then went on to become Governor, after Governor Jim Guy Tucker was convicted of fraud. He served as Governor of Arkansas until 2007. He made an unsuccessful bid for the Republican Party Presidential nomination in 2008. Though he did quite well in many primaries, he was unable to defeat eventual nominee, John McCain.
