Scott Hatteberg, player for the A’s and Redsox, and now character in the movie “Moneyball” has a Net Worth of $10 Million. Originally from Salem Oregon, he started his career with the Boston Red Sox, where he ended his career with them batting .267 and hitting 34 home runs.
After his contract expired in 2001 with the Red Sox, he began playing for the Oakland Athletics, despite rupturing a nerve in his elbow and being unable to throw a baseball. Billy Beane thought that because of his high on base percentage, he should play and moved him from catcher to first base. Although it was a rocky start, he slowly blossomed into a great first baseman. His time with the A’s is also a subject in the movie Moneyball, where Chris Pratt plays as Scott in the movie.
